We are looking for a full-time Senior Backend Developer to strengthen and expand our technical stack to provide our feature team with a solid base to develop on. We will count on your vision and your technological skills to build and maintain the foundations that will help us sustain our growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

• Advocacy for improvements to our product quality, security, and performance.

• Software and infrastructure : You will contribute to the technical and architectural decisions by collaborating with the Ops team and the feature teams. We expect you to be involved in the entire life cycle of our products from the conception to the post-delivery maintenance and monitoring.

• Identify impediments to our efficiency as a team - technical debt, missing tooling, architectural issues - then propose and implement solutions

• Continuous Improvement of our stack: You want you to constantly monitor and improve the components of our product used by millions of users

• Quality assurance: Pair with our staff engineer in order to mentor more junior engineers and ensure best practices are adhered to. Key elements will be tooling and code reviews.

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5 years’ minimum experience in a core or tech lead role

• Significant professional experience in Python, Django, PostgreSQL

• Experience with distributed systems and technologies

• Experience with database and web applications scaling, notably in a international environment

• Working knowledge of Docker and Cloud hosting providers

• An expertise in SaaS environments

An experience with the following is a plus:

• Computer science education or equivalent experience

• Experience working with: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Datadog

• General familiarity with: Frontend technologies, Git, Sentry
